April 2005 - $500 Sweepstakes Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY: The SmartDecorating.com $500 Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the United States, the District of Columbia and Canada, eighteen (18) years of age or older on January 1, 2005 or if the age of majority is greater than eighteen (18) years in the jurisdiction where you live, you must be at least the age of majority on the date of entry. SWEEPSTAKES IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules (the "$500 Sweepstakes Official Rules").

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins 12:00:00 A.M. December 1st, 2004 and ends at 11:59:00 P.M. ET on March 31, 2005 ("Sweepstakes Period"). All On-line Entries must be received by 11:59:00 P.M. ET on March 31, 2005.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: Each entrant in the Sweepstakes must be the rightful owner of, or have authorized use of, the email account indicated by the entrant's email address. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. No mechanically reproduced entries or facsimiles will be accepted. SmartDecorating.com is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, technical failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or for any undelivered, deleted, lost, late, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or mutilated entries. SmartDecorating.com reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is responsible for or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the on-line portion of the Sweepstakes in the event it becomes infected by computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired. Entries become the property of SmartDecorating.com and will not be returned. Only one online entry submission per unique email address will be used, all duplicate entries will be removed prior to selecting a winner.

PRIZES: One Prize of US $500.00. Only one prize will be awarded per email address, individual, family, or household. Any federal, state or local taxes or duties due are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes must be redeemed within ten (30) days of notification. If winner does not redeem a prize within ten (30) days of notification, an alternate winner will be selected. The prize will be awarded. The Winner(s) will be notified by email, telephone or certified mail. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

WINNER SELECTION: Prize winner(s) will be determined on the basis of a random drawing. The drawing will be conducted on or about April 1st, 2005. All winner selection procedures shall be conducted by Sponsor whose decisions are final with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes.

NOTIFICATION: Winner will be notified via email and/or U.S. mail. Winner will be contacted via email, U.S. mail and/or telephone and/or by overnight courier. The winner must respond to said notification with 5 business days of date of notification, or the prize will be forfeited. The name of the final Prize winner will be posted on the SmartDecorating.com website. Prizes are nontransferable. No prize substitutions allowed.

RELEASE: Potential winners will be required to sign and return to SmartDecorating.com a release of liability before claiming their prize. By registering for the Sweepstakes or accepting a prize, participants release SmartDecorating.com, its representatives, sweepstakes sponsor, affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever and for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prizes, or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity. By registering for the Sweepstakes, participants agrees to the use of their name, address (city and state only) and/or photograph, videotape or any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes, and to the use of statements made by or attributed to participant relating to SmartDecorating.com , and any and all rights to said use, without further compensation.

No association with, participation of, or approval by any company other than Home Decor Press is expressed or implied.
